Senior Financial Accountant (x2)
Overview:
Becksford Group are working exclusively with a ‘hypergrowth’ FinTech to appoint two Senior Financial Accountants on initial 3-6 month contracts.
The Role:
Based in central London but with a mature WFH policy in place (1 day p/w in office required to start) this is a role to support the existing Senior Finance Manager, European Financial Controller and European Finance Director to deliver change in a fast-paced FinTech, getting a hold on existing and future audits whilst moving the finance function quickly toward IPO standard.
Both roles have potential to turn permanent IF the candidate chooses to do so.
· Supporting a smooth audit process – focus on both existing audit and upcoming audit due to change of audit partner in line with group
· Assisting with the integration of a circa £20mill t/o acquisition into a unicorn status Fintech (systems, process, controls)
· Support continuous improvement and process improvement initiatives, helping to create a ‘best practice’ controls environment
· Varied and fast-paced
The Person:
The successful Senior Financial Accountant(s) must have audit exposure and should be comfortable embedding structure in an immature business.
In my eyes this role is targeted at two candidate profiles:
a) A top 10 ACA who exited at AM / Manager level, is technically very strong and looking for an outstanding environment to learn (this client is due to IPO in 2 years) whilst being supported and developed by 3 incredible ACAs each with a proven track record in industry.
b) A candidate from industry who has worked in a technical role (perhaps previous ACA), likely moving from FS or FinTech sector, with current/previous ownership of complex audit processes.
The successful profile:
· Qualified Accountant - (preference for ACA due to the audit exposure)
· Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
· Experience working in a fast growth and/or fast paced environment
· Exposure to technical projects - process mapping, process improvements, controls (desirable)
· Previous experience working for a tech start-up or FinTech (desirable)
The Business:
My client is a rapidly scaling FinTech with unicorn status and circa 500 headcount internationally. They are well funded with a very clear strategy and a busy couple years ahead of them.
The Day Rate:
£350-£400 p/d – 3-6 month contracts initially - Inside IR35
